Rights Respecting 24/25!
We have been working extremely hard alongside our rights respecting panda Polly promoting children's rights.
Here is a list of the rights of the months.
September - "We have the right to learn and go to school" (Article 28)
October - "We have the right to say what we think should happen and be listened to" (Article 12)
November - "We have the right not to be harmed and to be looked after and kept safe" (Article 36)
December - We have the right to follow our own religion" (Article 14)
January "We have the right to be the best we can be" (Article 29)
February - "We have the right to meet with our friends and join groups and clubs" (Article 15)
March -"We have the right to a name and nationality" (Article 7)
April - "We have the right to good food and water and to see a doctor if we are ill" (Article 24)
May - "We have the right to a good standard of living" (Article 27)
June - "We have the right to life and be healthy" (Article 6)
July - "We have the right to relax and play" (Article 31)
Spring Term 2025:
We will discuss areas of school life that we think could improve and find ways that we can help achieve our solutions. Stay tuned!
Our Rights this term are:
January "We have the right to be the best we can be" (Article 29) - We are practising to the best that we can be in our Eurovision competition!
February - "We have the right to meet with our friends and join groups and clubs" (Article 15) - We have a new list of clubs to enjoy this term!
March -"We have the right to a name and nationality" (Article 7) - Let's share a little but more about ourselves with each other!
April - "We have the right to good food and water and to see a doctor if we are ill" - We would like to start a healthy fruit stall with Healthy Schools!
Autumn Term 2024:
During Autumn term we have looked at our rights. We have become playground monitors to help everyone to respect the rights of others!
September - "We have the right to learn and go to school" (Article 28) - We have returned to school after the 6 weeks holidays!
October - "We have the right to say what we think should happen and be listened to" (Article 12) - We have noticed not many people are eating fruit at breaktime so we are working with Healthy Schools to improve this!
November - "We have the right not to be harmed and to be looked after and kept safe" (Article 36) - We will help everyone to protect this right by becoming playground monitors and reminding them of our Clwyd values and rules!
December - We have the right to follow our own religion" (Article 14) - We have encouraged everyone to share their religion and beliefs!
"Hi, we are playground monitors, look out for us on the yard! We will help to protect your rights in school!"

December as well as the right of the month we took on a little challenge to reduce the level of noise in the dinner halls. Also we reorganised the structure of lunchtimes.
