Rights Ambassadors Blog

We are trying to become a Rights Respecting School and aim to keep you informed about our progress and other events via this blog.

The RRSA group had a great visit to Glyncollen Primary in Morriston last week. We learnt about what they've been doing in their school. We are looking forward to our next PLC meeting soon.

Our Right of the month for November is Arcticle 19 "We have the Right to be kept safe". Both Mr.Brown and Mrs.Windos have taken assemblies linked to this right. In November there is also a national Anti Bullying week. Miss.Evans and the school council did an excellent assembly on bullying and how how we must all stand up against it.

In January we looked at Article 29. Mrs.Windos took a whole school assembly and talked about how we are all good at something. All classes did work on this Article.

Our right for February is to join clubs and meet with friends. In school we have lots of different clubs, lunchtime and after school. Some of them are netball, basketball, high jump, jewellery, minecraft and ipad club.

On February 10th, we are going to Cadle school where we will be attending a course run by theWelsh assembly goverment on e-safety. This linkes in with Article 13, 17 , 19 and 36. We will keep you updated on how it went.

Next month (March 13th) is Red Nose day and we will be working with Mrs.Windos to sell RED NOSES, PENS WRIST BANDS etc. Posters will be displayed around the school so keep a look out.      Millie Allen and Lyla Lewis.xxx
