Attendance 2017-18

Attendance 2017-18

We just want to say thank you to the parents, children and staff for another step forward with Attendance over the past academic year. There were a lot of bronze, silver and gold badges given out last week.

We want to push on next year and achieve 94% attendance overall with even more children receiving the annual badges for reaching the Welsh Assembly target of 95%. We believe that we can work together to reach our target and the children can only benefit from being in school more often.

Douglas Thomas Attendance Award - Summer 2018

Once again we had our termly award for a special mention of a child's attendance. For Summer 2018, the winner was Tyler Thatcher from Miss Williams' class.

Tyler and his parents were committed all year to helping Tyler achieve his first 100% attendance at Clwyd. This even included managing Tyler when he had heatstroke during the recent heatwaves meaning he did not miss any time in school.

Daily attendance to school allows children to access and experience the whole curriculum, keep up to date with activities at school and build strong friendships.

We hope to hear of more children achieving their first 100% attendance for the year 2018-19!
